When you think of Nurnberg Germany you may hearken back to your history book; to a time when Nuremberg hosted those famous war crime trials and closed the book on Nazi Germany. In those days, Nurnberg was known as Nuremberg Germany. Nurnberg is a very different city today, though nonetheless historic and reminiscent of old Germany. Nurnberg is a city of over 500,000 with many attractions and activities to delight visitors and tourists.

  

You can see a German football game, played by the city’s hometown team, visit the beautiful Nurnberg castles that look down on the city, wander the Hauptmarkt and linger near the gothic fountain, and visit any one of the charming chapels and churches. Nurnberg is home to many museums including a railroad museum and Nurnberg Germany has a wonderful zoo.  

  

The medieval city is a big tourist draw with its dungeons, beer cellars and World War II bunkers. Nurnberg’s annual festivals include a wonderful Christmas fair where you can buy handmade items and ornaments and experience the holidays in a very unique way. Don’t miss the annual toy fair. Over the centuries, Nurnberg Germany has been home to poets, painters, watchmakers, military leaders, royalty and peasants.
